SIEM REAP 003-FULL DAY TOUR – TEMPLES HOUTE COUTURE
The perfect tour for those who wish to enjoy the majesty and awe of the temples of Angkor in one morning. Then spend the afternoon visiting the hot spots of Khmer arts, fashion and culture.
Transfer by private vehicle to the Angkor complex. Start the day with a visit to the picturesque Ta Prohm. This beautiful temple is one of Angkor’s most impressive structures and is overgrown with fig trees, giving a haunting and exotic atmosphere. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged over the centuries with the temple’s huge stone blocks, emphasizing a ‘lost city’ feeling.
Continue your exploration with a visit to some of the most well preserved carvings in the region at Angkor Wat, one of the world’s most impressive constructed  between the 9th and 13th centuries and the largest Hindu structure in the world. The temple is home to hundreds of fine carvings of Apsara and Hindu mythology. Stroll around the massive hallways to discover small shrines still in use today by the local people.
Your exploration continues by climbing Angkor Thom’s centre-piece, the Bayon temple. At first glance, it may seem like a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals towers with 216 smiling, enigmatic faces. Continue walking along the Terraces of the Elephants and Leper king.
After exciting morning of temple exploration, you will return to your hotel with time for a refreshing shower, lunch (own arrangements) and maybe a dip in the pool.
Resume your exploration around 2pm with a range of visit to some of the hot-spots of Cambodia fine art and fashion.
